By: Viral Nation | 2 mins read |
Viral Nation, the social media technology and services company, today announced the appointment of four executive leaders. Rob Curcio, previously SVP of Finance, has been promoted to Chief Financial Officer. Joining the company are Scott Leatherman as Chief Marketing Officer, Rodman Likes as Head of SaaS Revenue, and Joana Oliveira as SVP of People and Culture.  “Viral Nation is unlocking the power of social media and the creator economy for aspiring creators, entrepreneurs, small businesses, popular creators and the world’s most trusted brands,” said Joe Gagliese, Co-founder and CEO of Viral Nation. “We are thrilled to add more talent to our existing leadership team. These appointments ensure our customers, employees and partners are combining forces to break new ground, and engaging and activating audiences on social media to drive commerce.”      Viral Nation has seen a significant year of momentum. In addition to securing a funding round and the commercial launch of its AI-powered brand safety solution Viral Nation Secure, the company recently embedded generative AI solutions, like ChatGPT, within its platform. Custom AI models created by Viral Nation, that are specific to creators’ needs, are layered on top of 3rd party generative AI models to deliver greater efficiencies in producing more impactful social content, including SEO optimized text with AI-generated images and videos.  “Businesses of all sizes are recognizing the power of social media technologies in the creator economy,” said Mat Micheli, Co-founder and CEO of Viral Nation. “The challenge to find, manage and scale internal and external talent and investments is fast becoming the concern not just of the CMO but at the entire board level, as brand safety gaps on social media can have a material impact on a company’s value. Our existing and new additions to our leadership team are working together to ensure every company has access to the creator economy with world-class training, talent management, trend and policy transparency, with content monitoring enabled by our suite of solutions.”
  • Rob Curcio joined Viral Nation in 2022 with over a decade of experience including working with companies listed on the TSX and NYSE at PwC, and scaling finance teams from Seed to IPO. In his prior role as VP, Finance at TouchBistro, Rob helped the company raise over $250M CAD from Series B to Series E and led all IPO readiness activities.
  • Newly appointed Chief Marketing Officer Scott Leatherman is an award-winning full stack marketing executive with over 20 years of leadership and business management experience, including previous positions as COO and Global Vice President of Marketing at SAP Labs US and Chief Marketing Officer at Veritone.
  • Rodman Likes, new Head of SaaS Revenue, has a proven track record of building and leading world-class teams that deliver exceptional customer value, revenue attainment, and profitability goals in executive leadership roles at Adobe, Oracle, and most recently Vice President of Sales, Marketing Cloud at Salesforce.
  • New SVP of People and Culture Joana Oliveira brings over 10 years of experience in strategic and progressive HR leadership across technology, professional services and medical technology and specializes in building people strategies and operations to enable rapid company growth. She previously served as Chief People Officer at cybersecurity services provider Key Data and Director of Talent Management for the technology scale-up, Flipp.
Viral Nation continues its hyper growth with an AI powered suite of social media solutions, a world class marketing & intelligence agency, and the largest exclusive creator talent pool. Viral Nation’s Talent division announced three key leadership hires earlier this week who will support the company’s vision to transform talent representation for the rapidly-expanding creator space by making a wide range of services essential to building creators into household names.
